Tozeur, the pearl and capital of the Djerid is located in the heart of one of the most famous oasis of the world. It is the ancient Thusuros, one station on the Roman road between Biskra and Gabes. It is located at 450 kilometers south-west of Tunis.

It is the larges producer of dates, particularly the “déglet en- nour”, with a renown excellent reputation. The architecture is typical to the Djerid villages. The oldest neighborhood is made up of small roads dating back to the 19th Century (Ouled el Hadef), where one can enjoy the charm of houses and their architecture.
