BULLA REGIA |
| At 160 km from Tunis
and at few kilometers from the city of Jendouba in
the north western region of the country, lies the
archeological site of Bulla Regia. Its archeological
remains spread over more than 60 hectares witness
of more than 17 centuries of the history of a city
founded by the Numids at the end of the 4th Century
b.c.

The site offers thermal
baths, a theatre and two storey houses: a ground floor
used in winter time and a refuge during the summer
heat. But what makes the site’s fame are the
patrician palaces decorated by very nice imaged mosaic
pavements, and particularly underground levels, still
unique in the antic domestic architecture.
